To become a fully-fledged Remote Area Nurse there are a few training courses that are important to complete.
The most important course is the REC course (Remote Emergency Care course) which is facilitated through CRANAplus. This course is well regarded across the country in remote areas and is a prerequisite in remote Northern Territory.
