After the great success of our first Mystery Shift Competition at the end of last year, we wanted to run another competition to reward our loyal staff. Last month, our Community Care division ran another Mystery Shift Competition with a prize pool of 40,000 HCA Reward points to share. Every shift worked with HCA Community Care in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia during the month of March was an automatic entry into the draw to win 1 of 3 big prize points: 1st Prize = 25,000 points, 2nd Prize = 10,000 points and 3rd Prize = 5,000 points. These points can then translate into some wonderful things like Domestic Flights, Ipads, Samsung Tablets, Dyson Handsticks or Breville Kitchen Appliances as part of the HCA Rewards program.

Spotlight on our big winner ‚ Dianne Chambers

1^stPrize Winner Dianne Chambers

Our 1^st Prize Winner, Dianne Chambers, is a Disability Worker from Victoria. Her story of how she became a Support Worker is one that warms the heart. She decided to become a carer during a challenging time when her uncle was unwell and saw that a lot of elderly people in her life also needed help. She completed her Certificate 4 at TAFE and started her career in a little country hospital. The part of being a carer that appeals to Dianne the most is seeing the person before the disability and believing that they should have all opportunities to reach their potential. What she finds most rewarding of working with Healthcare Australia is the flexibility and diversity as she takes care of different patients every day from complex care, behaviours, community access and day centres. Aside from the good pay rates which she says helps provide her with a better lifestyle, Dianne was surprised and very pleased to be announced the winner of the Mystery Shift Competition this month. She felt validated that her work is appreciated and is excited to spend her winning prize points.

Louis De Robillard, our 2^nd Prize Winner, heard about the Mystery Shift Competition via email and plans to spend his points towards flights. Our 3^rd Prize Winner, Karen Tawera, also came to know about the competition through her email. She has expressed that she’s very delighted with her experience with HCA and is considering to use the points towards something useful.
