In 2012 HCA is committed to providing Skills Labs/training rooms in each of the States and Territories in order to run high quality practical mandatory training sessions in addition to its successful eLearning packages. As well as providing all staff with the opportunity to complete their mandatory competencies via NursEd, we aim to support our carers, nurses and midwives in their careers by providing the best CPD opportunities available.

Registered Midwives: As part of an exciting partnership between NursEd and IntelliLearnTM, HCA is now able to offer RMs the opportunity to complete all their online mandatory competency and CPD requirements (up to 100 hours of material) via one user-friendly package which is benchmarked to best practice. The package will be developed and enhanced to meet the specific needs of agency RMs.
HCA is a partner of the Australian College of Midwives – watch this space for future developments via IntelliLearn and ACMs Midplus online learning packages.
Rural and remote Nurses NursEd is now able to offer R&R nurses a foundation course in Cultural Competence and 8 hours online CPD. This course is the benchmark for Nurses and carers working in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
